What is ZORB-IT ?

ZORB-IT desiccants are natural yet special clays which are activated to absorb moisture. These are used to control the relative humidity in the enclosed packaging system where damp environments can cause problems. Zorb-IT has been developed to overcome the common and vexing problem of humidity damage to valuable commodities during transport through wildly differing and challenging climactic conditions. Zorb-IT can be used in wide range of commercial and domestic applications such as for textiles, food products, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, automotive components, grains as well as for defence applications.

The Green Story of ZORB-IT

ZORB-IT is the new generation, natural and environmentally friendly type desiccant. It is regarded as a natural absorbing agent activated with a hygroscopic agent. It has characteristics of being non-toxic, free from pollution, Dimethyl Fumarate free, decomposes naturally and can be disposed off easily. Compared with synthetic and infamous desiccants, its ability of adsorption and retention of moisture is more powerful, especially in a wide temperature range and high relative humidity environment.

Moisture Problems

The issues caused by excessive moisture can be corrosion in metallic and automotive components during storage and exports, fungal developments in textiles and garments, circuitry issues in electronic goods, mold development in leather goods, dampness in pharmaceutical products, warping in furniture.

Container Breathing & Container Rain

Due to the changes in temperature the volume of the air chages. The air expands in day and contracts at night causing the moisture to be sucked into the container, the boxes, pallets etc. This process is called container breating. This moisture then condenses onto the roof of container & dripson components or products resulting in container rain and cause corrosion mildew, mold, dampness, warping etc and causes detrimental effect on the articles packed. Zorb-It entraps this moisture and prevents container rain.
